It's Great to Read in Bed!

 

Switch off the TV and turn off your phone, there are better things to do in bed... *no dirty sniggers here please* I'm talking about reading of course... 

It's always said that the bedroom is for two things, making love and sleeping, but let's add in a third, reading.

Reading reduces stress and increases creativity (and there are some great reasons why being more creative could be good for you, right? *ok, I'll give you one dirty snigger here*). 

Reading calms you down after a hectic day, you enter someone else's world and feel things from a different perspective. Your mind absorbs and processes the information from your reading, ready for you to recall it whenever you wish.

And the final result of reading in bed is that you'll get a better night's sleep.

Wait, so that's it?

Well, no... not exactly... all of the above is true, but we missed out a major benefit...

Reading can improve your sex life.

How can that be? I hear you ask. Well, obviously, if your reading choice consists of crime fiction or works of historical non-fiction then it's time you bought some new books.

Your choice of book matters

Expand your library and consider purchasing some fiction in the romance genre, especially if it contains a little heat. There are plenty of choices out there with story lines to suit everyone.

Think about what you find sexy. Do you go weak at the knees for a cowboy or do you get turned on by guys in suits? Does a manly guy in overalls do it for you or are you a sucker for men in positions of authority?

Have a look on Amazon and browse the erotic fiction, you'll be amazed at the selection. Read the descriptions and you'll soon find something that's perfect for you.

So why is reading in bed good for your sex life?

Ok, just so we're on the same page here... (no pun intended...) We're talking about reading adult fiction...

Well-written adult fiction should offer a good story, something that interests and intrigues you. You should feel interested in the characters and how their story will play out.

Anticipation is key, especially when you know what the components of a story will be. In this case, you know that the story will involve some hot scenes. As the story builds you know what's coming, you're looking forward to it. You feel excited along with the character and can't wait for your clothes to be ripped off.. wait, you mean her clothes... You see? You're involved in the story... you're part of it and are starting to feel what the characters are feeling... 

You're supposed to be turned on... you're supposed to feel a little hot... your toes are supposed to curl...

You're feeling a little restless now and you glance across at your man...

And the rest is history...

No man? No problem.

Man away on business? Currently single? No problem.

Just because the other side of the bed is empty doesn't mean you can't enjoy your erotica and improve your sex life.

Use it or lose it. Think of your lady bits as your 'lady in waiting'... and make sure she stays in working order. She's in your hands after all...
