To Read or Watch?

Romance novels can be to women what adult movies perhaps are to men.
So which is better? Well, (and I'm biased, of course...) watching any kind of movie is all well and good but once the images are stuck in your head there's no escape. None! Don't like the look of the lead male character? Too bad, you're going to have to watch him the whole way through... That chick with the squeaky voice and bad acting? She's in it until the credits come up too... Like it or not, the visuals in a movie affect how you react to the whole scenario. Maybe the scenario is good but if you're turned off by the actors then you may as well switch it off now.
On the other hand... open a good book of hot romance and you're good to go...

What does he look like? However you want him to! Your mind provides the images according to your inner personal preferences. Maybe he looks like your man (lucky him!), or perhaps he has a passing resemblance to Brad Pitt or Ryan Gosling... or how about Tom Hardy... (these are just suggestions off the top of my head, nothing more, of course... *ahem*).
And the lucky woman in the story? Well, your mind will probably ensure that she's an airbrushed version of yourself (you know, how you'd look if you just exercised that little bit more...)
So now you can read away with total pleasure, immersed in the sensuality, feeling part of the story.
So what else is good about reading romance with heat? Well, how about the fact that you can read it in bed (day or night), you can read it on the couch or even out on the sun lounger (just be careful not to get too carried away if your neighbour can see you from his or her window...). You could even read it on the train... but that could be dodgy... and maybe not the best way to arrive at work...
You can enjoy your book alone or with your partner. Don't underestimate the power and enjoyment of reading aloud.
Dress like the female character and your man will find it hard to contain himself as you read from the book... crossing your legs seductively every now and then...
One thing is guaranteed... by the time you finish the story you'll both be ready to act out the hot scenarios you've just recounted...
No man? Not a problem... reading hot romance alone is a very pleasurable activity... in fact, it is so enjoyable that, even if there is a man in your life, you'll be counting the minutes until he falls asleep so that you can pick up your book and read the next chapter...
